Description

This online course addresses data collection, data analysis, and decision-making as part of a problem-solving process throughout the universal, targeted, and intensive systems of social-emotional support. The course provides the foundation for monitoring student progress for the purpose of evaluating the effectiveness of behavior interventions in school. Graduate credit includes completion of a case study.

Expected Learner Outcomes: Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Explain how behavior data is used within a multi-tiered system of support to impact student outcomes.

2. Apply a problem solving process to select, implement and evaluate behavior management practices within a multi-tiered system of support

3. Strategically select and defend the use of specific tools to gather data for evaluation of intervention effectiveness

4. Utilize graphic displays to summarize and analyze behavior data for decision-making and intervention planning

5. Apply a multi-tiered system of behavior support for general education and special education purposes
